I pulled through the gate at Rockwood Conservation & my heart sank. I've photographed at this location multiple times, all owing to the beautiful Mill Ruins, but this time I was greeted by a large sign stating that the ruins were closed for repair. The fencing was high & the walls are crumbling.
Omg.
Ashley & Travis were meeting me in 10 minutes & I was panicking. For the first time in a long time, I hadn't gone to the location to scout & be sure all was well. Lesson learned. Luckily, the conservation area is packed with trails and we were blessed with lovely evening light. These two totally rolled with it & I'm so thankful for amazing clients. We followed the beautiful light & took some sweet images to celebrate the excitement of their rainbow baby, arriving this December.
I'm so excited to work with these two again for their Maternity Session in September!

It's pretty safe to say that you can't really take a bad photo of these two cuties. They're both gorgeous and very obviously crazy in love. Excited to become parents after their recent heartbreak.

Peony & Ranunculus crown for the win. Also... Ashley's hair is AMAAaaaaazing.

This was about the time when all the bugs started landing on Travis' head. I didn't realize the amount of little critters that were surrounding us, till I uploaded the images on my computer & saw the swarms. The editing time for each image just quadrupled. lol... 'Tis the season.

We were losing the light due to the high trees, so I suggested we quickly drive over to the beach to grab a few last shots. Some of my faves.

Yay to those awesome clients who will walk right into the cold water if you ask them to.
Congrats again to these two on their growing family.
